Congratulations Dorisiana! That is wonderful news. I hope Visa keep coming.

We are doing another round of printing to ship off more proof. Our IO should just come live with us for a week to see we are a couple.

I suggested that in our letter with our application among other Ummmm flabbergasted suggestions.

When we went to pick up the Visa from SG the woman working there was talking with in general about applications etc... seems my pithy suggestion was met with smiles by one and all... NOT... seems they don't have a sense of humor in SG

Don't think that isn't going in there. I think our IO must be sad and lonely and can't fully comprehend the wonder that is our relationship. Smiley

Mind you I do think she agreed with the statement as she sat through my son's 100 WHY questions to her in the ten minutes we waited hahahaha... it is amazing when you think about it how fast an on site visit would thin out some of these applications.. IMHO

Hi there.

I got my passport back with my visa stamped. Just wanted to say thank you for all these people helping each other. I'm really glad we found this forum.

Good luck to everybody who's still waiting.

And maybe see you in Vancouver.

I am March 2011 applicant. My ecas status shows "Received By Visa Office" since April 2011. Do you know when can I expect the medical request?

FINALLY! After eCas saying We received ____'s application on March 11th, and having NO updates since then, I logged on today and saw THIS!!!

We received your application for permanent residence on March 11, 2011.

We started processing your application on August 15, 2011.

One step closer to my husband coming here!   We haven't seen each other since January 7th, and it's our 2 year anniversary on Sept. 9th.

One more for February - at least a step in the right direction! Stay positive, we're all going to get there!

Haha I wish. Of the 2 years we've been married, we've only physically been together for 5 months:( I can't wait until it's all finished and we don't have this hanging over our heads.

The only thing that makes me nervous is that our medicals expired June 29th, and while I know that they've been extending them for some people, it's never a guarantee. I'm hopeful though, but on ecas it's never said that they received our medicals.

That, and worrying we'll require an interview for some reason. But most of this is paranoia - none of this process inspires confidence or relaxation.

I hope everyone gets some awesome news this week!

My husband called me at 5 in the morning.  He received email.  He has interview on September 12th.  Oh! God!  I am so nervous!!!  An interview means they are not completely convinced about us!  Here is the said email:
