I live in British Columbia, Canada, and my husband lives in Morocco.  I sent our application to Immigration Canada in Mississauga in February 2011.  I got approved as a sponsor!  The application for permanent residence was received at the visa office in Rabat, Morocco, on March 31.  Since then, no news... no update!

Hi Habibti, can you provide some exact days for when you filed, when you were sponsor approved etc. so i can add you to the chart?

hi everyone, i hope you could help me with my concern right now, i was expecting for PPR to arrive but instead a letter stating that i have to provide a detailed statement of our relationship FROM MY EX which is also the father of my child.. my problem is after college we don't have any communication at all because he doesn't want to acknowledge the child.. what would i do? we dont know what should we do, please help!

You need to make every effort to contact him, and document those efforts.  CIC is not going to accept a simple "he doesn't care" when there is a child involved.  Use a lawyer or some other official person to try to contact him, so that you have an officious bystander to document your efforts.  Go through the courts if you have to.

TO KEWJOE:

I sent our application to Mississauga on February 8.  They returned our application second week of March because some fees were missing.  Then, I sent it back ASAP and they received it on March 23.  Then, on March 28 I had a letter confirming they accepted the sponsorship.  And on ECAS, it said that the permanent residence application was received on March 31 at the visa office in Rabat, Morocco.  Since then, nothing

Here is my timeline..hope it will be helpful

Medicals Done : Dec 2010
Application filed : Feb 8 2011
Received in Mississauga : Feb 10 2011
E-cas was not accessible till March 7 2011
E-Cas changed on 8 March 2011 to decision made (Sponsorship)
21 March 2011 filed received at New Delhi
8 April 2011 PPR letter received(Date on the letter was March 28 2011)
Passport sent on 10 April & was received on 12 April
E-Cas on applicants side changed on 21 April 2011 with address and medical received
27 April Address disappeared in E-cas and re-appeared on 29 April with address,medical received and decision made
Received passport with visa on 3 May 2011.

That fast?  How is it possible?  I am not working during summer as schools are closed and I am coming to the conclusion that I will spend my summer vacation without my husband.  It brings me so much grief....  I am happy for you that things went so fast and so well.  All the best!
