US PCC can take a while - 13 weeks processing as far as i remember (AFAIR)
Sit for IELTS now so you can have time to retake it if you fall short of what you need.
It is still a 2-month (50-75 days range) waiting from the time CIO receives your application.
Work letters, post-secondary transcripts/diploma, Birth/Marriage Certs can be requested earlier

App Recieved in Sydney NS on January 5, 2010.

Returned REJECTED today, March 15, 2010.

I applied as a federal skilled worker.  I had a job for 3 years with the title "IT Manager" where I ran an IT department, including hiring, supervising, budgeting and all IT operations, but was denied for not meeting the requirements of job category 0213 titled.... get this... "IT Manager".

I'm not quite sure how to make the job more "IT Manager", since I was...  IT Manager.

Also if you can mention the exact job description you mentioned in the form .. it will be of great help to analyze.

Could you pls share your carrier progress, 0213 job desc. etc. so that seniors can figure out the reason for rejection and this would help others too.

I think I just received my AOR via email (3/16/10 9:51PM). Its has numbers on the upper left, somthing like *B123456* asking to submit my full docs    I hope everyone gets their AORs soon.

You can get the same from your US embassy. You can mail your passports and DD and the application form to houston consulate. It will take atleast 3 weeks in some cases they will return in 10 days also.

Since my app was rejected, my card was not charged.

Most of the 0213's are getting rejected with exactly the same reason as of yours.

I am traveling for business this week and do not have a copy of my original application.

I am suspecting that it was denied because I had an ADDITIONAL job I listed under 0213 which was titled "IT supervisor".

There is a note in the NOC classification that specifically mentions "supervisor" positions are not 0213.

Even though I listed a valid IT Manager position with 0213, I suspect my application was rejected because off the supervisor position I also mentioned.

I will be re-submitting the application with more clarification, including a detailed job description that exactly matches the required description on company letterhead and signed by my boss (the CIO).

I will list the supervisor position in the proper category (2174 I think).

I also need to sort out the financial requirements, since some unexpected expenses reduced my account balance below the required amount.
