Hi all.

I need some advise regarding obtaining the FBI Police certificate. I had my fingerprints taken and have the filled-out form (incl. the CC form for the payment) but now I am somehow unsure what is the best way to get the certificate back to me. I do not have a Fedex account (and even so, Fedex is aking for a hefty $60 fee - I am in the UK) and I am just not sure if regular mail will do (the British Royal Mail is just horrible).

How exaclty does it work with the self addressed envelope back to the UK? Is someone here from the UK who did this and what was your way of getting the papers back from the FBI?

Taking the fingerprints was quite expensive here in the UK and besides the money value I am worried about the time factor, apparently it takes 8 weeks to get the papers back and if I have to do it a second time (if the papers are somehow lost in the mail) then I am looking at some serious waiting time (which I would rather like to avoid)  Shocked .

I would appreciete any help and/or advise Grin . Thank you.

I did send a self addressed envelope but it was from the US mail.
in my opinion it does not matter from where it is, it will be delivered anyway by the local postal service (in my case the Romanian Post which also is horrible)

The pre-paid self addressed envelope is not necessary.

Thank you for the info.  I know that it is not nessesery I am just concerned what the best and safest way is of getting the FBI certificate back (so it is not lost on the postal way). I have to rule out the 'Fedex' option (no account and way to expensive) and was wondering what other people from UK experienced in terms of how to get the certificate back to them (registred, unregistred etc.)

Thanks.

The pre-paid self addressed envelope is not necessary.

As I said the alternative option to FEDEX is to use USPS Express Mail services.
It is a safe and cheaper way to get the FBI envelope. Cool
