I know some may think my question is irrelevant, but I have one question regarding the security check they do for FSW applicants.

Whenever I apply to US Visa, I go under administrative processing (FBI Name Check) which takes about 1 year to get my name clarified since I have a common Arabian name.

Now, my question is: when the Canadian officials do name check for me, do you think I'll go through the same delay I go through when I apply to US visa? Did anyone here had a delay issue with his/her FBI name check when applying as FSW?

Thanks.

so, my fear is in place! but do you think that there is something we can do about it? i mean incase same thing happened with me.

And did you try to find an estimate how long this is going to take? 1 year, 2 or 3! do you know others who are having the same issue?

Now this is for USA FBI Name check (like when you apply for a Visa), it doesn't apply to Canadian immigration, right?

Or do you think that Canada uses the American FBI name list too?
