Anyone have any experience with California background checks? The form to request the check states that it cannot be used for immigration purposes.
California does LiveScan clearances - which means if you're not in California it's going to be a bit more difficult to get one, but it can be done.
The info you need is on this page of the California Dept of Justice website - about half way down the page in the right side column.
