FBI (fingerprints received today)

 Hey guys,

  I finally received my verified fingerprints today as of Dec 18th, 2006. It took total of 6 weeks for FBI to process my request.

  FBI receipt date: Nov 6th, 2006
  Status Checked: Dec 11th, via email. ( replied same day saying I should receive in a week or 3 )
  Received : Dec 18th.

 I guess they are pretty damn fast!  I'am impressed!

After a long wait of 12 weeks, my credit card has been charged today for FBI background check fee($18). I am wondering how much time it would take now to get back my FBI clearance card???

I just realized that my credit cards has been charged also since November 29, so far I have not received the mail back... yet... (so the count now is 24 days and waiting)

satyakb, you can go to a private agency that you can find in the yellow pages or go to the nearest Police Station and ask for fringerprinting section. Just make sure to bring any photo ID and your payment.
