I had sent my application and supporting documents to the Buffalo Visa office on Nov 10, 2010. I had included everything except my spouse's FBI fingerprint report. I received my spouse's FBI PCC in Dec 2010 (report's "Returned" date is Nov 23, 2010, report dated Dec 6, 2010). I was told to wait for the Buffalo File# before sending my spouse's FBI fingerprint report. I received the Buffalo File# in May 2011.

1. Has my spouse's FBI PCC expired? If not expired, do I submit my spouse's FBI PCC to the Buffalo Visa Office with Buffalo File# as reference? If expired, do I apply for a new one or wait for any correspondence from Buffalo Visa office?

2. Offtrack question: I got my renewed passport in Apr 2011. Should I send an attested copy of my new passport with Buffalo File# as reference to Buffalo Visa office?

Please let me know asap. I really appreciate it.

1. I have heard of only a PCC from FBI and not a finger print report. Finger print reports are required to obtain a PCC from FBI. Did you mean a PCC? PCC cannot be older than 3 months from the date of issue. If you have not submitted PCC with your application, you will have to wait until the VO asks for it.

2. Yes, you should fax the VO your new passport copy with file#

Yes, I meant the FBI PCC (fixed the question). I think I read that FBI PCC is valid for 6 months. Can you list where you found it was 3 months?

The Buffalo VO mentioned to wait sending the FBI PCC till I get Buffalo File#. Now that I've got the file#, should I still wait sending the FBI PCC?

Will do this.

Thanks.
