Both me and my spouse submitted FBI finger prints together. But my spouse got it earlier and I still need to get clearance. Is it normal for such thing to happen?

It could be possible provided you sent in two different envelopes or at two different times.I applied for self and spouse and got both of them together.

I sent both cover letters along with fingerprint cards in a single envelope. But received only one in a single envelope and I am waiting for mine. Hopefully I will get mine. But just wanted to know if there is anyway to check the status.

Thanks

You could give it sometime and then, either write to them or call them. They would be able to tell you if you give them some reference.
