Please excuse me for reposting this question. I've already posted this question in November thread.

Today we got a mail from Buffalo office to provide the original FBI "No Record" letter within 90 days or else the application could be refused.
We are pretty sure we sent the "No Record" letter(Pink Color one we got from FBI) along with our application. We've even got the photo copy of the FBI letter with us right now. Our guess is that the Buffalo office could have misplaced it. Has any one gone through this situation.? Itz very time consuming to get a fresh FBI "No Record" letter from scratch in our opinion. Can we explain to them by sending the photo copy of the original letter? It has a FBI reference number. Biting my nails and frustrated..
Please advise!

We are in a similar situation. We sent the original state police clearances and then we got the same letter asking for them again and gave us 90 days. That was in October. Now it's almost Feb and we are still waiting to hear from them. We submitted it in November. Just what they ask you , you'll never why out why. We tried to send emails but got no response. they could have misplaced it. Who knows!
I know it's costly and time consuming but you gotta do what they say.

Thanks for your response, Gypsy girl. Atleast, it feels okay to see some one in the same boat. We're going to apply for a fresh FBI clearance today, anyway.
In the mean time, We're going to email them with a scanned copy of the photocopy of the FBI "No Record" letter(one we have right now). We're also going to send them a postal mail with the photocopy of the FBI letter and asking them, if they are okay with the photocopy instead. Thanks for the heads up about their email response. We're keeping our fingers crossed! Again we're frustrated Sad

FBI clearances are taking a long time right now :-(
The website says 8-10 weeks, and it's been over 8 weeks for me with the payment not even being processed yet!

shmuhahaha I think your plan is great. Keep us posted!

We're still waiting for ours too, since December 3rd.  What is the date on the report?  I know they are only good for three months.  Had the three months expired by the time the permanent residence application arrived in Buffalo?

Some good news on our end. We got a phone call from the Buffalo consulate indicating that our application process is back in track.
Yesterday, We emailed the embassy with the scanned file of the Photocopy of the FBI "No Record" letter that the Buffalo Consulate was telling missing.
Also, we mailed in the PhotoCopy of the same using USPS next day mail.
In today's phonecall, The gentleman also asked when do we plan to move to Canada. I told him as soon as my wife gets her PR status, we will be moving back to Canada.
Thanks for the motivation fellas Smiley
