Hi there,

I m pretty new in this forum.  Accidentally i found this forum, seems interesting and helpful.  I would like to request  all the members please guide me in this matter if have any information.
People who live in India might understand me.   What if I dont have contract letter from the employer.   On top of that employer reluctant to give me to issue an explanation letter in this matter.   Is it so important to provide?  One more thing is I am also not having an appointment letter from the same employer.

Cheers
Thank you.

Hi

Its is important to provide these documents but if you dont apply then you will just need to give an explanation a reason why you are unable to submit these documents, most of the organisations dont give contract so its normal you can just give a reason in the cover letter that you never received a contract from the employer so you are unable to submit it.

Cheers

When I sent RPRF they did not send me a receipt, I actually had to check with my bank, and they checked with the bank in Canada if it has been encashed. it actually took them around 2 months to encash it, so you can check with your bank if it has been encashed, and if so then rest assured. On the other hand you can send a case specific enquiry asking them to confirm if they have received it, but I will suggest wait till it's at least 2 months before you do so.
If they return it because of that mistake and they cant encash it, all you will need to do is go to your bank and cancel it, and get your money back then you need to send a new one with the correct name. Good luck Cheesy Cheesy

Everything that Sih said - and in addition if you want you could ask for a CAIPs notes. That also provides details. BUT somone from within Canada has to request it for you. A friend, or your representative etc. I think it is a free service.
Good luck

Many thanx for the reply..

I think i'll wait for a couple of weeks before I order caips notes or go for case specific enquiry.

Do you think it might delay my processing if there is problem with rprf?

We have been informed that the cash has reached their account since it was a bank transfer. No other notifications..

Hello everyone...

I have 2 options to apply for PR....either as a federal skilled worker or through Quebec.

my NOC is 1122 ( business services to management) but # of applications in this category reached 1000 already so the question is:

If I still want to apply under this category, shall I submit my application after June 2011 in order to be considered for processing? or would they accept my application now but won't start processing before june 2011?

another question, if I have a complete application, what would be the best "strategy" to be one of the next 1000 awarded applicants with PR?  ( I'm from Saudi Arabia and I doubt they receive many applications from here under NOC 1122).

If I have already done the academic version of the IELTS and I cannot afford to do the general version, I would certainly send in the academic version. This is especially so if I only need few points from the language section.

If I have not already done the IELTS exam, then I would take the general examination. This is for two reasons, 1) CIC asks for the general version and 2) the general version is easier.

If CIC in Sydney returns my app, that will set me back by about a month or two. For some people, the extension of their application by a month or two is worth the savings from not doing the general (if they had done the academic version already).

Thats my thought. Of course, we also don't know whose got returned because they did the academic version. The sample size we have is too small to say that all applications with academic version will be successful.

One more thing. I am not experienced in Canadian immigration application. I have only done my application and one application does not an experience make. So perhaps you are correct and hence, I wrote what I would do if I was the applicant who already has done an acadmic version of the IELTS.

Well, thats my two cents.
If CIC in Sydney returns my app, that will set me back by about a month or two.

this is purely very positive assumption, which may not be true always. I had given written explanation, and I was suggested to submit IELTS result. I got letter in 7 days after they decided to write me for same; I registered for next IELTS exam date, which was approx 3 weeks after; I took the exam & waited for 13 days & got my result personally instead of waiting for getting it by mail. Same day I posted by UPS; VO got that in 3 days but they added to my file after 20-21 days & give me next BFD after 3 months.
So it cost me about 5+ months time which I could have save, but I wanted to take my chances, so no regrets; but thought to share that 2 months delay is optimistic assumption but realistic could be minimum 3-5+ months.

good luck to all.

If you still want to apply under this category then you will have to send the application in July 2011 thats when they will start processing the files under new quota if you send it now it will be returned.

The best strategy is to get your all required documents ready by june 2011 and send it at the end of june so that it reaches in first week of July. Does not matter if you are the only applicant from Saudia Arabia in quota system they dont take application on the basis of country as soon as its fills it fills even if all application are from one country so being only from Saudi is not an advantage.

Thanks Saki....very useful information.

One last question about the police certificate, I'm totally aware that I'm not supposed to get that certificate unless the VO ask me to do so ( I'm supposed to receive an official request letter from CIC).

However, although many members have shared their tough experience about getting that certificate from the Saudi authorities, but I think it's almost impossible for me to get it.

Saudi laws banned citizens to apply for foreign citizenships.... and they're aware that PR would lead to citizenship....and believe it or not, it's possible to get arrested once they knew about my real intentions  Cry .......... and even if I try to come up with an execuse, they'd ask for supporting documents.

Any ideas about that? shall I mention in the cover letter upon applying that I won't be able to get the certificate because of the above reason?... or shall I wait until I receive the letter and then reply with an explaination letter from my side? ...... are there any possibility to waive that request by VO?

P.S: I've never lived outside Saudi Arabia

Hi

Thats a bit harsh of Saudi government but anywez i understand your problem and if you cant get it you can give this reason to visa officer and they might waitve it as it depends on the visa officer. CIC clearly says that if you are unable to provide any document give a reason so if you give a reason they will either waive it or will ask you for some other document so dont worry about it, right now just send it as it is and when they ask for the police certificate give them this reason with any other document which shows the government will not let you get the permnanet residence if they come to know this.

I am sure they will understand it.

So one thing you may have to be careful. When you get PR and they stamp it in your passport, the people at Saudi airport can see that you are immigrating to Canada. You should be careful of this.

Please don't expect me to answer if your post title has urgent in it and it is not really urgent. Urgent is 911 or you have a definite deadline tomorrow, not that you would like to send in the application soon
