Allowed to run parallel (both a new application and one from pre-Feb 2008) but you must withdraw one at least by one specific stage (not sure what that stage is).

Does any one have any idea of the different options I have when passports are requested for stamping, as I read it takes several weeks to return the passports, but due to the nature of my job I travel frequantly ( twice a week), and of course I need my passport. Is there any way I can request it urgently providing proof of my frequant travel, cause I can stay without it for about 1 or 2 weeks only. My visa office is London. Please if you have any information please let me know.

Dear All,
Need to clear confusion on PCC.
Today i checked CHC ND checklist . It say that if your application is received at CIO on or after June 26,2010, you are strongly encourage to submit your PCC with your application to the CIO . If you are not able to attach with application , still you can send application to CIO . But whenever it will be required by Visa Office you need to submit it.
If i am not wrong then CHC ND Checklist said that no need to submit PCC with Application ? Right ?
So what to do ? As i am planning for new application should i send Original PCC to CIO ? What about the Validity of PCC ? Confused ?
Please Help.
Regards,
Mayank

Dear mayank, It's Dr.Hasib again. CIO recently chaged their process (updated in the first week of November). According to the latest changes applicants must submit their police certificates with their application to the CIO. If you are unable to obtain all the necessary police certificates, you may still send your application to the CIO without them. However, please note that if your application is placed into processing you must be ready to submit them to the visa office when requested. If you are including your police certificates with your application to the CIO, please ensure that your certificates were not issued more than three months earlier So my advice for you, if u have pcc ready in your hand then submit it to CIO.

Hello dear senior friends; Anil, Indira, Dr.Hasib and everyone else
I have some Q's and will be thankful to anyone who could explain what I should do
1) Do we have to sign and date all the pages of the forms or is that just enough to sign and date where we have boxes for signature and date.
One confusing matter is that on the CIO checklist you can see clearly that the Application For Permanent Residence(IMM 0008 GENERIC) needs to be completed, and it doesn't say that we should sign and date it, whereas the Schedule 1 or or theAdditional Family Info ( IMM 5604) are emphasized to be signed. On the other hand My Vo says that we have to sign and date the 0008 Generic.
Now, don't you think it's better to sign and date the whole pages. What have you friends done?
2) Given that the forms(Generic, Shedule 1, Schedule 3 and...) are requested by both CIO and VO, Shall we include one copy in the CIO bundle and one in the VO set, or is it enough to send the forms only once?
I am really confused about these and as I have requested the courier to send me back the package so that I could correct some mistakes, I feel really obsessive with any point. I want to send it all flawless if I am lucky enough to get back my package which is apparently on its way back home.
Would you kindly help?

I signed and dated only where it was asked unless I added any extra pages. For those pages, i signed and dated. I am not sure about the second question as I applied in Dec 2008. Good luck. Hopefully someone replies back.

Dear Friends,
hello everybody. this is joy from India. i have a big confusion about sending of the documents . we have a checklist IMM5612 and also a visa office checklist ( new delhi ).
now i am told by my immigration agent that first we need only to submit the first 9 documents in the IMM 5612 checklist and at a later stage we can submit the visa office checklist and its supporting documents when CIO asks us to submit it. so initially we need to submit only the application forms , original IELTS score and visa processing fees. but i am seeing in the forum that we need to submit the complete application forms and supporting documents first.
so i am really confused.so please clarify this matter and help me and others.
thanking you very much,
with regards,
Joy

Hello dear senior friends; Anil, Indira, Dr.Hasib and everyone else
I have some ........... .................... Would you kindly help? Hi katyspring (1) You have to sign & date ONLY at the places where boxes have been provided for this specific purpose. Apart from that if you are submitting some explanation / clarification... then that separate sheet needs to be dated & signed. I have gone through your VO specific guide ...... yes they have mentioned to sign on generic 0008 ... but didn't mention for any other document!!! Moreover it is always CIO that we have to follow in case of any overlapping!! So you need to sign (with date) (i) Schedule 1 (ii) Additional Family Info (IMM 5406 not 5604) by PA & spouse (iii) Fee Payment form (IMM 5602) if paying by CC (iv) Supplementary Information form (v) Any explanation / clarification letter. Don't sign on all pages .... (2) You have to submit only one copy of these documents. 1st complete the CIO set (1st set/ bundle) as per their checklist. Keep this CIO checklist on top as covering letter. Next complete the VO checklist (2nd set / bundle) - In VO checklist you have to just tick the boxes for the documents that you have already provided in the CIO bundle AND submit the rest as per VO checklist. Keep VO checklist on top of 2nd set / bundle. Club both the bundles with one big Binder Clip and put the same in the cover for courier!!! Cheers, Anil

Dear Friends,
hello everybody. this is joy from India. .............. with regards, Joy Dear Joy There are so many things that I wanted to suggest you ...... but I think you are already paying a huge sum to your agent for these suggestions ...... still this one is for you ... you have to do it!!! KICK himIf you have internet access... download Instruction Guide [IMM EG7000] from the following link - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.aspGo through the whole procedure ......you will be better than your agent (and can teach him too!!) Please see my reply # 789 (page 53) on the thread 'IMPORTANT - need ......... CIO now (not visa office'). Collect these documents ..... and THEN ask the doubts. Remember my 1st suggestion...... .... the kicking part.... Cheers, Anil
