apply as askilled worker not depend  mainly on your age but you must comply with the following:
•you must has at least one year of experience in one or more of the occupations listed http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list
•you must meet the minimum requirements from the six selection factors in the skilled worker points grid.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assess/index.asp

good luck

I read about wonderful changes being made to Canadian immigration procedures and yet, we are now in our 5th year since we have lodged our application and the only response we have had to date was during October 2008 when we were asked whether we wanted to continue with our application or not....

Hi rupeshhari,

I have applied under the  4121. CHC hold my passport for 6 months and then sent to me with visa. Can you assumed the cause of this delay? Will it create any problem for me at the time of landing?

Hi Guys,

I received email from buffalo office regarding my final application as:-

FILE: Bxxxxxxxxx NAMES:  xxxxxx xxxxx
Dear Applicant:

This is to advise you that your application for permanent residence has been received at the Canadian Consulate General in Buffalo, New York and that a file has been created for you. Your file number appears above. Please note that this file number is different from the one that was assigned to you by the Case Processing Centre in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. You must quote this new file number in any future correspondence.

Before your application can be placed in processing, a determination will be made as to whether or not you are eligible for processing. If your application is not eligible for processing, you will receive a letter informing you of the reasons for the decision as well as a refund.

Immigration Regional Program Center
3000 HSBC Center, Buffalo, NY 14203
e-mail: buffalo-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca

my question is :-
do any one else received this kind of application as they mention that

Before your application can be placed in processing, a determination will be made as to whether or not you are eligible for processing. If your application is not eligible for processing, you will receive a letter informing you of the reasons for the decision as well as a refund.

Is is a good sign for me or not.

Hi Everyone,

just joined the group & the discussions/info in this group is quite informative.
I'm planning to apply for the PR under the IT category(expedited category).

Just wondering if it is better to go through one of the immigration consultants or apply by myself.

Let me know ur opinion/experiences in this regard.

regds,
Karan
