Hello Bikki
Your expected time for interview depends on if your field of studies are on the pirioty list or not....It varies from applicants to applicants...

Thanks

Its being discussed that currently LVO is reviewing all applications between 10th April & 26th June 2010 and by June 2012 they will complete their SELDEC. Can anyone share his/her views as it is true?

Unni, there are no specific band requirements (likely above 5 atleast) as such for any NOC however pl note that band 6 would be safe for any processing.

I may be judgemental but it looks like that 5.5 or 6 would be ok.

Dear All,

Today i got reply from CHC London against my inquiry.

"
Please be advised that a letter was sent on 23 March 2012 to the mailing address on file.

We ask that you wait for the mail to arrive before requesting any further information"

The said letter i had not received till todate and i sent an email to CHC London to send me through email.

Can you tell me that what they would have written in the letter.

My status is still same.

Looking forward for your urgent reply.

With best regards.

Good luck - that was my NOC category as well (they turned down my application, but for a reason unrelated to the NOC code.  I'm off in Federal Court challenging the decision, should know in the next two weeks if the court agrees to hear the case, in fact.)

Dear , I applied on July 8th. 2011 and got CIO file number for NOC 1122 in late Sep. But since then , there has been no contact from visa office ( Warsaw ) and my online status is "in process" - We received your application on 8th of July....... as it is the end of the 7th month for processing and there is no news , I am a little bit worried . Does anybody have a similar case ?

How to add a newborn baby into an already submitted case file?

After we have applied for the Canadian PR process there would be occassions when an applicant has been blessed with a newborn baby. Now, if this baby isn't 'added' into our case file & we proceed to 'land' [given that we already have the meds/PPR/PRVs already, it'd be a serious 'misrepresentation of facts' & we could face twin problems... [1]we may not be able to sponsor the baby after entering Canada, [2]we might be deported & face a 2-yrs. ban.

Similalrly, if we r yet to receive our meds, and have a baby meanwhile, the situation might not be that complex, however it makes sense that we 'add' the newborn into our case file asap, else there could be inordinate delays if we don't or delay this action.

Remember, as with all family members [whether accompanying or otherwise] we need to get the baby's meds done; only then s/he could move with u... AND all the PRVs [PR Visas] of the entire family must be linked to each other... that's what the IRPA regulation specifies.

Nothwithstanding the foregoing, here's the procedure to 'add' the newborn into our PR case file:

Prepare the following for ur VO:

1. Immigration Forms:
Additional Family Information (IMM 5406)
(to be signed by the PA, if the child is below 18-yrs of age)

2. Children's Information:
(a) Children's birth certificates (which name their parents);
(b) Children's Travel Documents or Passports
-Only include copies of the bio-page of the child/ren showing the pp No., date of issue and expiry, photo, name, date and place of birth. If u live in a country different from your nationality - include the copy of the page where his/her visa for the country where you currently live.
-You and your family members must hold valid regular passports to obtain permanent resident visas; diplomatic, official, service or public affairs passports are not valid for immigration to Canada.

3. Photo requirements:
Supply four (6) recent photos for each member of your family and yourself, one only blank and write name, DOB, and date of photo taken on the back of other 5 copies. Follow the instructions in your guide (see “Photos” in section on completing the Application for Permanent Residence in Canada) and in Appendix B: Photo Specifications.

4. Application Fees:
The processing fees are payable at the time of application. It's $150 for a family member of the PA who is less than 22 years of age and is not a spouse or common-law partner. U should file-in the Fee Payment form (IMM 5620)

Submit the foregoing package to ur VO [not to CIO-NS].

Hope that helped.

Hi! many thanks for your assistance as I'm in similar situation. I applied under the FSW class in June 2010. At present my documents are with the London VO since Feb 2011 and are pending verification.

Since that time I had a baby boy and need to update my application. I just want to clarify that in addition to the above information do I also need to fill out the Additional Dependants form(IMM 0008DEPENU)? i understand that we are required to inform the respective VO of any addition in family... please provide me the email address of the London VO so that I can update my family information meanwhile the document package is ready for mailing.

Thanks,
Ali
