Hello Every one
just have a quick question, my partner was rejected on his selection interview, mainly due to the lack of knowledge of French, he is planning to apply again, and As you know new applicants must submit French test results with their application.
can he submit his application now without French test results and submit his French result later, for example 4 months later?
Thanks

Hello everyone. Here is a question I have not seen discussed anywhere on this forum:
I am a doctoral student with a study permit till September of this year. I have also applied for permanent residence through FSW new PhD stream. Come September I will no longer have a student status, my permanent residence application is not likly to be decided before then and I will not have my PhD degree yet (since after completing the three year study I will be still working on my dissertation). Is there any temporary status I can request to hold me over until I either finish my dissertation within 1.5 years or my FSW application is decided? I know about the post-graduate work permit, but that won't apply as I will not have the degree yet.
Any help/suggestion is much appreciated. Thank you.

I suppose you could ask to extend your study permit. If that is not granted, you could ask to change your status to visitor.

Is there any lucky one who succeeded an appeal in the Court, after refusal??
I'm in the middle of an application for judicial review (application filed, response filed, now the last step of filing the request for a hearing due in a week's time.) At this point I'm much more optimistic of obtaining judicial review. From my own study, about 20% of applications are granted. I'd say that 20-30% of granted appeals are successful. Most applications are refugee appeals and thus FSW appeals have a bit better chance of review since they've not been previously reviewed. Much of this really depends upon your attorney. In my case, my attorney had seen a situation that was very similar in which CIC rejected the application but cited grounds that were opposite of my case (and it was the same CIC officer making the decision.) No other attorney would have been able to provide that unique insight. After filing a very good application I upped my estimate to about 40%. After the government's response (which was, to be honest, amazingly lame, arguing that I could just go apply in a different category and thus shouldn't waste the court's time - but completely ignoring the substantive grounds raised in our appeal) I've now put it at around 70-75% that I'll be granted review. So I'll let you know how it comes out. Odds are still likely that the court will end up supporting my original FSW application rejection.

Good day!
I have just entered in this forum. Just thinking of applying to Canada under Skilled Worker Category. I trust this forum will be very helpful for my application in addition to CIC site. Thank you, guys, for opening this.

Go through the application forms again as if you were applying now. Look at what forms need to be filled out for the child or change because of the child. Those are the only ones you have to send.
should i make a fixed deposit separate for my daughter or add money into my present savings
I don't think it matters how many accounts you have your money in as long as you have enough money.

hello. im planning to apply this year just want to recheck my points. i need 2 yrs of work experience to be qualified. Is it necessary that all of your jobs lasted for at least one yr? or its okay to have at least 1 of your jobs to last for one yr?
my first work lasted for 10 months (nurse, hospital A). and my 2nd work for 1 and a half yr (nurse, hospital B)..
i resigned November and transferred to hospital B november also.
will it be equivalent to 2 yrs( even if my first job did not last for 1 yr) ?? thanks

Mate, i would advise you to update your balance in saving account not in some kind of fixed deposit you have waited for long time 2 years so if you can hold it for around 6 months it would be fine cause NDVO is now in fast working VO.... Dont take the risk notarize your copy.... Warm Regards, Spartan 300
