You can show bank balance and/or fixed deposits to meet that amount of POF.
They ask for 6 months statement to know the money is not borrowed and put in your account just to show POF.
If fixed deposit is 5/6 months old it is better.

Hi

I have a quick question for you-are these 29 listed occupations the only ones that one should have a full year work experience before applying for permanent resident or the work experience can be related to any of the occupations listed on the National Occupational Classification (NOC)? I'm a little bit confused , so please help:)

Hi kokice

" Skilled workers with one year of continuous full-time or equivalent part-time paid work experience in at least one of the 29 eligible occupations (NOC) within the last ten years"

Out of last 10 years atlest you should have one year experience of that NOC to apply under that NOC.
This will get you 15 points and make you eligible under that NOC.

You will earn points for the number of years you have spent in full-time (37.5 hours per week), paid work. Minimum Work Experience Requirements You must meet the following minimum work experience requirements to be eligible to apply as a skilled worker:

 You must have at least one year of full-time, paid work experience or the equivalent in part-time employment.

 Your work experience must be in an occupation of Skill Type 0, or Skill Level A or B of the Canadian National Occupation. Classification (NOC). See below for instructions on determining the NOC category for your work experience.

 You must have had this experience within the last 10 years.

Determining Your NOC Category:
To determine how many points you can earn for your work experience, go to the Occupational Descriptions page on the NOC website. Follow the instructions to find the NOC category that matches your work experience.

If the initial description and list of main duties match what you did at your last job(s), you can use this experience to earn points under the selection factors when you apply as a skilled worker.

If the description does not match your work experience, then you might not have the experience you need to apply as a skilled worker. Look through the NOC list to see if another occupation matches your experience.

Check all the jobs you had in the past 10 years to see if you have at least one year of work experience in a job that will qualify you as a skilled worker.

Note: Remember that you must have work experience in an occupation in Skill type 0 or Skill level A or B and that your experience must have occurred during the 10 years before the date of application.

Experience Maximum 21 points; 1 year 15, 2 years 17, 3 years 19, and 4 years 21

For more info visit http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp

Hope it helped.

Hi guys just a quick inquiry regarding my ecas status it is "IN PROCESS" and when you tick on the hyperlink there is a phrase saying that We have received your application for permanent residence on Sep 13, 2011

What does it mean?

Does it mean my application hasn't been processed yet?

I believe if the status is "IN PROCESS" then your case has been forwarded to VO.

Can someone enlighten me.. I really would appreciate it..

Thanks

Dear mycan

Thank you so much for your help. My question exactly was-for example if I have experience as a logistics coordinator and my partner has one year experience as a truck driver are we gonna be eligible for applying for PR because these occupations are given on the NOC list but are not included in the listed 29 eligible occupations for skilled workers?

Thank you again:)

Hi,

I applied on 8th August 2011. I also got the file number few week before. But till date didn't get PER or NER. So I send mail to CIO few days before. Today I got message from him Your file is still pending final review and decision by our office. You will be contacted in due course. So what does it means. Is there PER is completed or not?

Noc: 0631

You ought to have received your PER,if you are an FSW1 applicant but from their reply,i can deduce that you are an FSW2 applicant and if yes,it means they want to verify your Arraigned Employment Offer letter before communicating their decision to you.

Just hang on buddy, you would soon receive your PER.

Always,

NO.
You can not under Federal Skilled Worker catagory.
It should be in list of 29 NOCs.
I do not know it is possible under Provincial Nominee Programme.
Only seniors can help.

Hi CANVINCHENG,

Once visa office receives your file, they do the document checks and then start processing.
Then only you will see "In Process" in your ecase.
this stage many/may not get 2nd AOR.

For better understanding of whole process go thru this thread

Hi mycan,

The above is frim the link you gave me, can you clarify as you mentioned that 2nd AOR comes after it has been transferred to VO. The statement above says background check - 2nd AOR - In Process

Its quite strange that the process im getting is different from every applicant.. I dont know, but maybe because it vary from VO to VO

Hi CANVINCHENG,

The main process is exactly as per this process flow.
Background Checks are done based on the documents you provide.
This is part of in process only.
The process varies slightly from VO to VO and applicants and the data provided.
If you send complete documents in one go along with application you save time.
London VO will not send 2nd AOR most of the times.
Don't worry you are on right track.
