Hi! My common-law partner sent our application on June 3 2011 and CIC received it on June 8, 2011... She is a nuclear medicine technologist for 4 years and 9 months. She is planning to resign, would it affect our application negatively? How can we update CIC about the changes? Thank you.

I Agree To Mayank You cant show assets or property you have to show liquid and moveable funds in the form of Cash in Bank, Fixed deposit, etc which can be readily transferred to cash. Spicysank |

DEAR ALL,
I HAVE JUST REALISED THAT MY DAUGHTER GOT A NEW PASSPORT BOOK AS THE EARLIER ONE GOT EXPIRED(LAST YEAR ITSELF).I HAVE'NT YET UPDATED THE LON VO ABOUT THIS . MOREOVER THE MOST IMP IS THAT AM IN LAST STAGE OF VISA APPLICATION AS I HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED OUR MEDICALS , LANDING FEE AND PCC IN JUN 2011 TO LON VO BUT THEY STILL HAVE OLD PP DETAILS FOR MY DAUGHTER.THOUGH I KNOW SECURITY CHECKS DOESNT HAPPEN FR KIDS BUT NOW THE BIG QUESTION IS -
SHOULD I UPDATE THE VO VIA EMAIL OR BY COURIER?
WILL THIS DELAY MY PPR LETTER?
WHAT SHOULD I DO?

i received the ppr yesterday fr lon vo. i got this ppr in 40 days of my medical submission.
now eagerly waiting for my pp return with visa stamped on them.
i wish to know:
WILL THE VO BE SENDING ME ANY CONFIRMATION ON RECEIVING MY PASSPORTS? OR THEY'LL JUST SEND ME BACK THE VISA STAMPED PP

can any one tell about educational transcripts?what if we do not accompany right now. But all the degrees and certificates are sent along with application. will application package be returned? and what if we have sent notarized copy of transcript but not university envelope sealed copy?
Please comment on it.

Sorry for asking a noob question. I was wondering how this quota of "500" is calculated by CIC. Do they just count the first 500 applications that they receive OR first ELIGIBLE 500 applications??
Actually, I am yet to file under 1122 and today the count has already reached 420. I am not sure whether my application will fall under the quota or not ??
So, is there a possibility that my application might get selected, even after the quota has reached, if there are some ineligible applications??
Any thoughts???

As far as I know, they count they complete applications. They just check that everything is there and not if the person in question actually has 67 points and falls under the definition of the NOC. They will determine that later. As far as I know, once the quota is up, they just list it as full and all applications after that are sent back. It takes them a while to update the count so they are probably already up to 500. I don't think you have a chance if you apply now. What you can do instead is try to get a job offer because if you have one, you are outside the 500 quota. |

can an applicant change the relatives name when the file is in in proccess and VO asked for proof of ur relative currently living in canada now,but that relative is not in canada now but another real relative is in canada now and can provide all documents.would VO accept it now at this stage with PCC na proof of funds.pls guide me,

Yes you can use old forms and check list till 14th of Nov. but CIC will demand later on for newly updated forms and check list so it is wise to send them the latest forms and check list to avoid any delays in the processing.otherwise it will delay your process. Regards. |

Important: New forms and an updated Instruction Guide and Document Checklist (IMM 5612) are now available. Applicants should follow the new Instruction Guide when preparing to submit an application Applications that are received by the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) on or after November 14, 2011 that have not been prepared using the updated Instruction Guide and the Document Checklist (IMM 5612), will be returned as incomplete. Note: As of July 18, 2011, applicants for Permanent Residence are asked to complete the new Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008). Applicants are encouraged to complete the form electronically and validate the information to generate 2D barcodes before printing. I finally recieved my medical papers after 6 years ( from july 2005) in July 2011 But unfortunately I am now in travel and will go back to my country( Iran) about 1 month later , I don't know exactly till when I can do my test as my lawyer didn't give me the paper and isn't answering me properly .
he just is telling to do your medical in the country where you are now ( Australia). I don't think that's a good Idea as my husband is in Iran and my son and I are here and if I do that we should do our medicals separately and I don't know if doctors in Australia send my medical to right office then.
But on the other hand I am not sure about the date . Do you know If I can't do my medical in required time (90 days after issuing ) . should I send an e mail to the embassy and ask them for more time.
and what will happen finally if I can't do my medical in exact time?
