I don't think so. Copies of some docs do not mean to be notarized. I sent my docs un-notarized, both original and updated. I had no translated doc though.

Nowhere CIC suggests that photocopies shouldn't be 'attested'. If that was the case, IMM 7000 wouldn't have that section.

ha ha ha....I meant that as there is a section how to notarize, we should notarize the photocopies of the documents, that's all. Dr. Hasib also pointed out in a comment that one of his friends have been asked to interview for photocopies sending without notary. Whatever, its now your decision.

HI
WHEN ASKED BY THE IMMIGRATION OFFICER , I SENT THE PASSPORTS OF MYSELF AND MY FAMILY. IT ALSO INCLUDED THE PASSPORT OF MY ELDER SON WHO IS STUDYING IN CANADA AND WHO HAD SENT HIS PASSPORT THROUGH COURIER AS WE WERE REQUIRED TO SEND ALL THE PASSPORTS AS A PACKAGE. AFTER GETTING OUR PASSPORTS BACK WITH VISA, WE ALL WILL GO TO CANADA FOR LANDING BUT WHAT ABOUT MY SON WHO IS ALREADY IN CANADA AND WHOSE PASSPORT WILL BE WITH US. WHAT ABOUT HIS LANDING. WILL IT BE STAMPED WHEN WE ENTER CANADA OR WHAT?

Congratulation. Sit back and relax. after getting all of your your stamped passports back, before flying inform this matter ( your elder son's passport is with you )to canadian airport immigration authority, your elder son can manage it. cheers Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

hello FSWCIO,
I think it's time for you to panic. As i can see you filed your application on 31 Jan 2012, ur application might get returned due to cap reach. well, u can say that NOC for 4152 got filled in 1st week of Feb,2012, however CIO works in their own way. My friend's application (Noc: 4152) was received on 28th Jan 2012, and today he got his application back. Cap fulfillment was the  the reason mentioned by CIO  Sad
I think u should prepare yourself to get your application back. And remember, next time when u apply, don't forget to notarize your docs.
Good luck

don't worry i am aware about the cap still i took the chance only. and you dont need to notarized your copies of documents but you need to verify your educational documents by your respective institution. thanks for ur advice. and may i know which of your friend got his application back so early? as far i know CIO is not that quick.  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
