Hi All,

Kinda new here, thought I would start a new thread for everyone who has applied for the MPNP in 2011 under the family stream from India, Thought it would be a good way to narrow down the people in the same category and within India because the timelines are different for various categories and different countries, so please let me know the status of you applications and the time lines guys.

My details: App: Date 28/04/2011

That is about it at this stage, which is kinda getting me a bit concerned, because the I see a lot of people have received their AOR in about a months time, and I still haven't Sad. Anywho have a good one guys. Hope everything works out well for all. God bless you all.

Hello Navgill,

If you do not have close relatives in Manitoba, you would be considered under the general stream (close relative may be Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, Uncle, Aunt or First Cousins. Any other relations and family friends you have would be taken in to consideration, although you will require a Affidavit of Support from two of them, but still you would be under general stream. I guess you will have to wait until you have gained enough work experience in order to apply under general stream. Why don't you try the website and do a check on the points calculator. You would be able assess what your points are and what you can do about it.

Hope this helped. Cheers

I applied under family steam

Hello sunshine11,

Just a quick question with regard to your family stream application, is your family there in Manitoba supporting you financially or are you supporting yourself? Did your sponsor have an interview? Also, did you apply in 2010 or 2011, your timeline looks a bit confusing, btw how long did it take for you to get AOR? I still havent got it, its been 2 months and 2 weeks since I applied now Sad. Looking forward to hearing from you soon mate.. Cheers
