Family Sponsorship/Military Service

Okay so heres my story

-I'm canadian my sponsorship application was approved to sponsor my american husband
-our application has just recently been forwarded to the station in Buffalo
-married in canada

we have an immigration lawyer

so my husband is in the US NAVY, he's waiting to be discharged from failing too many of his PRTs. He starts to be processed out this upcomming week, however it could be a few months (latest november and its now june so at most 6-7 months away) before he gets out completely.

we told our lawyer about this and he (now she because our case was given to another lawyer at the firm cuz our lawyer got a better job) told us that it was totally cool and there would be no problems absolutely what so ever.

The more I read the more I'm seeing as this IS going to be a huge bad bad problem.

he's never been in a combat situation and only did on tour in europe.

does anyone pose this as a reason for denial? Do you think they might just request an interview and we will get a chance to explain ourselves? I am getting really really worried :( like starting to make my chest tight and stumach hurt kinda worried..

please any advice/help/speculations?

US Navy, It is not going to be a problem.

wont look like hes a deserter?

the way i see it is they look at the paperwork.. see oh hes enlisted still? WTF?!  call up find out hes not discharged yet?

any explaination why it would be okay?

If your immigration lawyer hasn't said it would be a problem, and PMM has said it won't be a problem, why are you still worried?

Your husband will still have to fulfill his enlistment commitment to the U.S. military.  He doesn't get a free ticket out of the Navy just because of becoming a permanent resident of Canada. 

So he's not a deserter - unless, of course, he does actually go AWOL and deserts.

just worried because of what everyone else has been saying.

he wouldn't ever desert I am just worried to them it looks like that.
