If my father was to loose PR for a too long absence from Canada and he sponsored me as a dependant child, would I loose my PR status as well even if I had continued to live in Canada?

I don't think so...since you are already a PR I don't think it would matter if your father loses his status...but I could be wrong so be sure to check on that.

check the CIC site thoroughly! It should say something about status's. If not I'm sure some of the veterans on this site can help you! Some people on here just know everything Smiley Sorry I can't be of much help!

 You would not lose you PR as long as u continue to be eligible which is 2 of every 5 years in Canada
