Hi Indira,
I'm not looking for flights yet. Thanks for the offer. Was just wondering if there was a special reason for flying RAM. Thought maybe there was an issue with connecting flights in other countries. Glad to see there isn't.
Thanks! Cindy

Val, My son-in-law flew Royal Air Maroc, because at that time, it was the cheapest, and easiest way for him to fly. I met him in Montreal and flew on with him to Winnipeg. Royal Air Maroc seems to always arrive late. If our flight on to Winnipeg hadn't been late as well, we would have missed it. When he comes through immigration into the waiting area, there is a counter on the left hand side where he leaves his luggage for them to put on the flight to Toronto. This is great if you have to run to make your Cdn. flight. Good luck! Penny

Hi there, I'm new to this entire forum and want to thank everyone for helping each other. It touches my heart that everyone hear makes a real effort to help the ladies in canada who want to sponsor their fiancees and those who are married their husbands from Morocco. My Moroccan boyfriend and I really love and care about each other and are discussing getting engaged in the very near future. I was looking to find out if it would be easier for me to sponsor him as my fiancee when we get engaged instead of waiting until we're married later to sponsor him as my husband. He is returning to Morocco at the end of this week from the U.S.A. His job there just finished. I really care about him and have been told that as a canadian citizen I do have the option to sponsor him as my fiancee. I would love it, if someone could help give me some information, I would greatly appreciate it. As I'm trying to learn about this whole topic, I could use all the information I could get. It would probably help before I start sponsoring my fiancee, as I would need to make sure that I have the correct information from the get-go. Thanks very much for reading this and wish everyone the best of luck sponsoring their fiancees and husbands from Morocco. Also, what is the approximate total cost to sponsor a fiancee/husband from Morocco? If anyone could help me with that, that would be great. I know this process will require an enormous amount of patience and staying in touch by letters, email, telephone and messenger but sometimes for true love to stay strong you need to sacrifice a little to be with the man that you love with the depth of your soul. I invite as much info as anyone can give me. thanks again and good luck to you all, Asia

Hi Asia, Welcome to the forum. It helps to have a spot to go to where everyone is going through the same thing. I would double check with immigration to find out if you can sponsor as a fiancee. I'm pretty sure that you can't. (unless you were common law spouses) But I could be wrong so I suggest calling their call center. The (CIC) Canadian Immigration webpage can answer all your questions including a costs calculator. It's the best way to be sure about the answers.

Hi Asia,
There is no Fiance Visa in Canada. There is only marriage, Common law partners, Or conjugal partners. The Application fee is $1040.00. If you happen to live in the Province of Quebec it is another $250.00 for that application. The other expenses wold be marriage related, so that of course can vary.
This Forum is such a great group of wonderful caring people, all waiting to be with their loves. Welcome to our group.
I wish you the best of luck.

Hi everyone. My husband got his visa today and he will be arriving Friday night! Like others who have written about their experiences on visa day, he had to report there at 8am but was made to come back at 1pm and then again at 3pm, but no matter, at least he has it now and we are all set. We were very happy to have bought the RAM ticket to Montreal in advance since their fee for changes was very small and he overheard people saying they were really having trouble getting tickets for within the next few days, so if you can swing it without a big change fee in case something was to come up, it's definitely worth it. Finally this wait is over and we will be together. Thanks again to Penny for starting this very long conversation last year through which so many of us have shared and learned and connected and prepared and been helped and...and so many things. All the best to everyone who is still waiting. It WILL happen, just a matter of time. Remember to focus on how much it will be worth it! Val

Hey Val,
I hope that your husband made it in okay and things at the transfer points and immigration went well. May you guys have a long and blessed life now that you can enjoy in the arms of one another once again. Best wishes for your reunion finally.
I hope that everyone else is doing well and enjoying this weather which seems to finally allows us to enjoy it a bit.
And for those of us waiting for an interview, insha allah we get the call soon. This is insane. I never thought this waiting period would kill me like this. and worse off for Jamal. We both try to boost each other but right now we are both on the low side and with everything else going on in my life with fighting for child custody of my little angel Meriam its just too much to handle without Jamal by my side..but like i tell him try to keep our hopes up and soon we will get that call.
Hope everyone has a wonderful week.
Indira

We got it! We got it! We got it! 2 or 3 weeks incha alah my husband will have visa in hand and be here by my side! Such a great way to start the day! My husband met Boubaker last night and they went to the embassy together today. I'm so grateful for this forum that has gifted us Isabelle an Boubaker as friends. I'm sure going to the embassy with Boubaker made it much less nerve wracking for Smail. Boubaker should have his Visa in hand at 3:30pm (morocco time).
Speedy processing to everyone still waiting! Cindy

Congratulations Cindy! Great news! Becca, I'm so stressed from all of this! We have seen so many houses, at horrible prices. We think we liked something about one house, and it turns out it was in another house we looked at. I managed to find time to phone Hind though. She sounds so nice. I am going to see her when I move out there.
Well, Happy Easter to everyone. Hurray! 4 day weekend! I told my daughter Christina to hide Easter eggs for Rachid so he could have an Easter hunt. He loves chocolate!
