Reading the blogs on this site is helping me so much with preparing to immigrate to Canada.  I thought I'd begin posting my experiences for others as I continue on.  I expect to submit my application for "Family Class" by the end of Jan. 08.  Still gathering documents, and wanted to let any readers know that my FBI Report took only 17 days from the time I mailed my fingerprints to the W. Virginia FBI office.  I didn't include any deadlines.  I'm so suprised and elated.  Thats a far cry from 14 to 16 weeks as stated on the CIC website.......more to come as I continue on.......good luck to all!!!

Hi - I also just got my FBI clearence and I also got it back 3 weeks from the day I sent them.  Same thing for the state police records from the (3) states I have lived in.

That is so great to hear! I got a little discouraged when I heard 16-18 weeks. But on other paperwork I saw 3-6 weeks so I wasn't sure what to believe. I just sent mine in this past week and even put a deadline for about 3 weeks out just in case. Thanks for the info! Something to look forward to.
