So, NOT a good idea to try and cross the border with a big load of household stuff at the border. Smiley Makes perfect sense if the immigration officials will see it, it'll raise their red flags all over the place and you actually want to keep a low profile about your immigration plans as much as possible...

1) Besides from shorter processing times for outland vs. inland, there's no right of appeal for inland applications (because the decision is made by the higher authority)...

You know, every month you can save in the waiting game is valuable Smiley When you're waiting and waiting and waiting, and with a visitor visa you can't work legally, you have to keep buying travel medical insurance just in case, you don't want to leave the country...

2) When your outland PR app is approved, to finalize the process, you have to take a trip down to the States (or anywhere outside Canada) and return right away (or in a little while, as you wish) in order to "land" and obtain your PR status.

Thank you so much everyone.  We've decided to apply outland, and will be getting married this March, looking to apply between late March and late April.  If there's any advice people have, I'd greatly appreciate it.  Smiley
