Have any of you had your applications approved recently?
What did you put and include with it?

I should be hearing back this week I believe about mine. Starting to feel nervous. I hope it is approved.

Not yet,...

wait times are at 60 days.

What did I include?
Details about why I wanted to stay - (getting married), proof of my job in the UK, proof of meetings that I must attend in the UK, proof of funds to cover my extended stay, a copy of return ticket and a note detailing the cost of modifying the flight date.

The long processing time is likely to mean that I should be married before they even open my application for the extension.
I will be returning to the UK (for work) no matter what the decision is, but if my extension is granted, I can visit more of my wife's family members in Canada before going back to the UK.

I just figured out that the website is a liar as far as processing times go.

I figured I would use the automated service for a change just to see if you can check visitor application statuses and you can.
I put in my client ID# and my birth year.

It then said the following: "Your application was received January 7th, 2010. You application for extension of visitor status has been approved. A document was signed for on February 25th, 2010."

It doesn't say for how long but yay! It still feels unreal. So maybe you could check to see if yours has been approved or not.

Went down to the mail today and there she was all shiny and new looking in her brown envelope.
I am good until July 31, 2010 and I am mailing my PR application at the end of June or early July.

Thank you everyone for the congrats! Smiley
Best of luck to everyone else still dealing with this.
