Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me?

I still have a valid visitors visa which I got when I entered Canada from the UK but it runs out in September.
What I want to know is if I leave Canada and cross the border to the US and come back in will this constitute RE-ENTRY???
Will they give me another 6 month visitors visa?
Right now LMO applications are taking about 7 weeks and I don't want to take the chance of over staying while waiting for it.
I have about another 6 days left to apply for extension of stay, but as I want to go to seattle anyway I was hoping they would re issue me with a visitors visa,Also would it make a difference to fly or drive??
I would be so greatfull for any advice!!

If you are from a visa-exempt country, then leaving Canada and re-entering would constitute a new visit. In that case you would have 6 months from the time you enter Canada.

Great thanks for your help!
I was just afraid I might have to go back to the UK as that is where I originally came in from, and come back for it to count as re-entry.
Do you know if it makes a difference if I fly or drive as I am in Vancouver and it would be convenient for me to drive??
I can show funds to support myself and have not over stayed,I am from a visa exempt country and have a valid passport. Can you think of any other problem I may have??I just want to make sure I have everything order as I don't want to get refused entry.

You should know that there is no guarantee that you will be admitted for an additional 6 months.

Hi thanks also for your responce. For what reason might they refuse me entry? Someone told me I should get an immigration lawyer to write me a letter explaining my case that I am waiting on my LMO decision and I will leave Canada after if it is refused. What would your thoughts be on this?
Do you know if it makes a difference to fly or drive.Any information you could give me would be a great help!

They might refuse if they feel that you are spending more time in Canada than your home country. They might assume that you would be overstaying.

I am not sure if writing a letter would help (everyone would start writing a letter saying they will leave if their application is refused).

I am assuming it does not make a difference if you fly or drive except for the time it takes.
