Hey all,

While my wife and I are waiting for her PR application to be approved (thanks Singapore, kinda slow ;-P), we would like for have her TRV extended.

We're planning to extend her TRV online. Our question is: If her TRV extension has been granted; does she still need to re-enter the country again? Will the process be any different if she's on a Multiple-Entry TRV?
We came to Toronto on December 1st. So, ideally... we'd have to have her TRV extended around the end of this month (February).

Thanks,
Evan

You are confusing apples with oranges.  A TRV is to enter Canada.  If your spouse is already in Canada, then she applies for a visitor extension to Vegreville.  IF she was admitted on the 1st of December, and nothing was written under the Immigration stamp, she was admitted for 6 months.  So you don't have to apply for an extension until 30 days from the expiry.  http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend-stay.asp
