Hi,
I am being sponsored by my husband. My visa application processing is in final stage.
I was asked to submit clearance from FBI and was given a deadline of 60 days. Unfortunately the fingerprint card got rejected and i am reapplying the same.
Now i have only 30 days left to submit the documents to immigration office. But I feel it would take more than 45 days to get response from FBI again.
I am wondering how I can extend the deadline given to me. Will they accept my request to extend the deadline.
Please help me.

He there, why it took that long time for you to get responce from FBI? didn't yu write on the cover letter that you need them for the immigration purpose along with expedite process and a deadline? when I ask for my FBI clearance, I used to live in Lebanon, it took about 2 week to get the clearance, my husband lived in the US, he picked them up. We wrote a cover letter explaining why we need them, and on the envelop we wrote the same info with why we need them as soon as possible,. I don't think you can extend the deadline, as I remember in the email they say that can't be extended.
Good luck

Hi,
Thanks for the response.
I have already sent record request to FBI but the fingerprint card got rejected which took 4 weeks.
Since I am re-applying the same, it would take another 4 weeks to get response. I am losing the deadline.
Is there anyway i can inform visa officer about delay in getting the document.
Please help.........

ask the fbi to expedite the process.. send them prints with an expresse courrier. You should have them fast if you give the FBI a deadline. I have seen many people do that.
