extend work permit (urgent)

My girl friend's work permit is going to expire at the end of Novernber, and her current job in toronto is not well qualified the extention because of no enough salary. I study in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and begin to work at the beginning of September. I work in here with my post-grad work permit as well. If i get married with my girl friend, can she extend her stay in Canada??
