I am interntional student and taking level 5 Intensive English Program at George Brown and I will completed level 8 until April 30, 2010
My study permit will be expired in Feb 2010, and I have accepted Bachelor of Business 4 years at George Brown College and the program will start in January 2010 if my English program is meet the required
My question is:
- when I need to extend my permit study?
- how long it take to process the document?
- is there any reflect if I can not attend a Post Secondary school on time because my ESL language.
-now I want to switch my College progrram from Bachelor of Bussiness to 2 years Practical Nurse program and do I need to inform CIC and provide another accept letter for Nursing program?
Please advise
Thanks,

You can apply online to extend your Study Permit a few days before it expires it can be proccessed online in a matter of days. They ask you to send in your application 90 days before expiry if you are mailing it in because it can take this long or even longer to process by mail. Until you meet the conditions of the letter of acceptance your permit will probably not be extended beyond the date of your ESL Program.
You should not notify CIC of any changes until you have an actual acceptance letter into another program. When you have a letter of acceptance that is not conditional on passing the ESL program you can apply for another Permit extension.

Daehder, thanks for your reply.
My ESL program will completed until April 30 and for sure I am not ready for College program until Fall 2010.
I will have free time after ESL program, are they issue my permit study?
I am not quite sure, what next step that I should do? If I extend my study permit in January, that time I am still in ESL class? Of course I should have provide CIC prove that I attend full time school but for ESL not for a post secondary program.
School will indicate my English will finish in April; there is conflict my condition because my acceptance letter starts in January!
Is there any opion?
