MY BACKGROUND: My PR application was approved and I became a landed immigrant but could not permanently relocate to Canada. Now I have lost my PR status but I am interested in doing my Master's program in Canada.

MY QUESTION: If I am accepted by an Institution in Canada would my Students VISA be denied because I had applied in the past for permanent residency (even though granted and I did not relocate)?

Unlikely. I know someone who did the exact same thing. As long as you have all of the appropriate documentation then you should be good to go!
