I am applying under FSW Catagory 1. My pasport will expire on 2nd December, 2010. Almost 13 monts to expire.

1) Can i apply with this pasport?
2) Would they accept my pasport as it has just 13 months validity?

Seniors pleas help.

Hi,

You can apply now  as your passoport has a validity over six months.
Try to renew sufficiently before the expiry date.

Well i understand that for visa, 6 months are enough.
But, for immigration, the process may remain in the rainge of 6 months to 12 months. I am confused that if my pasport expires right in the middle of my application process, at that time what option i would have.

hello

i m submiting my full app. to local visa office on 14 oct, 2009 with all the required docs. including cert. copy of passport; now my passport expires on 06 march,2010 and i dont want to renew it untill i send my full docs on 14 oct,2009

so the question is when should i renew it??

- before getting medical request
-after medical request

but i cant do it now as it would take longer than my deadline (14 oct,2009)

thanks for ur comments

cheers

MH

Apply with the passport, then either get an extension of the passport or a new one, send CIC/CHC a copy of the extended or new passport.
