Expiring fingerprint records...send new ones in?

We originally had fingerprints done back around September and originally submitted our application in October. Had a delay since we forgot something and resubmitted in December. With Buffalo dragging it's feet we still haven't received an AOR and the fingerprints are now around six months old. I seem to recall them being valid for a period of six months but I could be wrong.

Should we go and get new ones done and send them in anyway just in case? Would we send them directly to Buffalo? Am so worried about delays in Buffalo...

Wait to see if they request them - I haven't seen too many times that they've re-requested criminal clearances when an application has been in process since before they expired.  Only if it's a re-processing after an appeal.
