hi there...

anyone could help me out cause Im really bothering what to do now. I work as live in caregiver in the same employer for 3 years. i already applied for pr status and open permit at the same time. my work permit wil expire today and i dont have any open permit yet. my employer is still willing to keep me. is it already too late to apply for another work permit?

If you sent an application for the OWP with your PR app then you're on implied status and can continue working for your present employer. But PR apps take quite a while to process, even for the first stage approval.

Hi Job_Seeker,

Could you please elaborate little bit more.  Can one apply open work permit with PR application?  Interesting!!!  Could this be possible. Do not you have to pass certain stage of PR application, at least medical?

This is for the LCP(live-in caregiver program) check what program applies for you... Smiley

Yup, Bambiegirl is right; the PR with OWP app is applicable to LCPs who had finished the required 3900 hours or 24 moths of work as live in caregiver.
