My application for PR was sent from Buffalo to Las Angeles to be "expidited" on December 7th, 2008. Is there anyone 'WithExperience' that can tell me HowMuchLonger ...Huh? I ... like everyone else here ... want to be with my wife.

Buffalo seems to send aps out when they get a bit backlogged - hence the explanation about "expediting" the case.  But I think probably the reality is that too many aps means Buffalo gets backlogged and can't meet the published processing timelines.  By disbursing that caseload to the outlying offices, they're able to maintain the published timelines.  The reason I think this is because there are no separate timelines published for Los Angeles, Detroit, etc.  Their role seems to be to help maintain Buffalo's timelines.  I would still figure on waiting between 3-9 months from the date that Buffalo originally received your case.

Married 9'06, ap sent 3'07 & refused in 1'08 due to inadmissible son.  Appeal won 1'10.  Ap back in process 4'10, new meds requested 5'10 - submitted in June.  FBI rec'd 8'10 after 12 wks!  Approved 30Nov2010! COPR recd 05Jan2011. LANDED 31Jan2011 YAY!

Did you already get a letter requesting you pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee?

If you got that already, my experience says from the time of that letter you would wait another 3-4 months for the letter that requests your passport (for the visa etc), but of course, every case is different.
