Hello Everyone,

This forum is my only source of information (apart from the official website for Canadian immigration) and I would like to thank all of the experts who share their experiences and help newbies like me to apply by ourselves.I am now in need of your advise.

I had sent my completed application for FSW to the CIO NS on April 29th. I had lost my Credit card yesterday and was forced to block it to prevent unauthorized misuse of it.This unfortunately was the credit card which i have used to pay for my application.
My credit card company also confirmed that as of yesterday (2nd June 2010) CIO have not charged my card.

I have read through a couple of other users who have posted similar instances, but i have not found any solutions for it. (They have not updated their thread about how they went about it.)

I am planning to take a certified check and fill a new IMM5620E form with the certified check details and enclose a cover letter stating my application details and requesting them to ignore my Credit card details and use the certified check instead.
I am planning to send it to CIO by tomorrow to try and ensure that they don't send back my application.

Please advise me on what else i can do. (I can't find CIO's email id or phone number, or i would have tried contacting them).

To all the experts-Looking forward to your advise.

Regards.

The steps you have mentioned above is your best option, there is no phone or email for CIO.  Go ahead and send the chq to CIO tomorrow together with a covering letter, making sure you provide your name, DOB and nationality in the covering letter.

Best of luck!

Hi Benny,

Thanks for your reply and advise. I am planning to include the following in the Cover letter.
1.Name 2.Address 3.Visa Class (FSW1) 4.NOC  5.Application sent/received Date with FEDEX tracking number
6.email id 7.phone number 8.D.O.B 9.Passport Number 10.Nationality 11.Visa Office

I think the above should be sufficient to link it to my application.

Thanks again for your reply and if there is some thing more that i should add, please let me know.

Regards.

Yes, I had sent out the letter with the details that was advised by the forum members, and happily for me it worked.
