Which skill are you?  I think there are already speculations on changing points for English and Education.

nobody can tell you exactly when the proposed changes will take effect..

my advise to you is don't wait for the proposed changes to take effect because i tell you it's much stricker and higher than the current regulation..  if you think you can reach the 67 points with your current credentials and your profession is still open, you better start your application staright away.. don't think twice..  Wink

I lived in UK for long.  Between the year 2001-2003 things were not bad for foreigner, things started to strike in 2004-2006.  And now I guess you know how uk is with foreigners, its a talk of immigration in their media etc.  I am thinking its now going on in canada, though canadians are much kinder of sort.  Just my opinion, so changes are eminent.

Hi All,, Thanks for your concerns...

I am a working professional and working in financial industry from the last 8 years. I wanted to apply in 1122 code of Federal skilled Worker but it has reached its cap limit for the current year.

My age : 31 years
I am comfortably crossing 67 points including my wife's points too..

I have appeared for IELTS and with god's grace scored:

Listening:7.5, Reading: 7.5, Writing: 6.5 and Speaking:6 Overall: 7

I know nobody can predict the new list, but I believe experienced people may have a fair idea about the listing of 1122 Job Code for the year starting from July'11

UK is and has always been fair to immigrants and believe me over here there is nothing like they require you to have "English Experience".
If you look around here in the UK, you will find "foreigners" in almost every position including High Level Positions. It is a true multicultural society. It won't take long when Canadians will start changing their views to immigration and immigrants. The latest news about this is already being aired over there.

Wish that happen soon and reflects in job market offer asap.... It is indeed unfortunate not to have a minimum consideration in CAN of all credential/qualification one attained even from a recognized institutions in Europe, Asia-pacific...

Hi All,
I have an MBA and 10+ years of good IT experience. I think I would have qualified easily under the 0233 - Information Systems Manager category that was unfortunately removed last year. In the changes expected this year, any clue if this category may get added this year? Appreciate your inputs..

No one can tell for sure, most likely not. You better try get an offer or try PNP if applicable.
