Hello everyone!

I hope someone can help me with my question. We have submitted our inland spousal sponsorship more than 2 months ago. Is there any way that I can have a vacation to my home country for a month or so 'coz I understand I am not allowed to exit Canada while our application is ongoing . Is there a way that I can waive it, just in case an emergency arises from back home. My parents are old and aging and they've got health issues.

Thank you.

Where are you from? If it is from a visa exempt country, it's risky, but you can probably get away with it....otherwise, from what I understand, you are out of luck. If you leave you won't be issued a visa to return and you'll likely have to abandon your application.

I don't believe there is any kind of waiver but a more senior poster may have more info.

Well if you leave and you are not allowed back in then your application goes out the window you do take a chance even with a visa as a visa does not guarantee entry into Canada as its up to the CBSA to allow you back in if you are from a visa exempt country then you can probably risk it
