Hi,

I have a question about "Status in Canada" exemptions. I want to apply for a study permit in Canada. My father applied for PR almost 2 years ago but it takes a long time.So I read this statement at U of T's website about exemptions from paying international fees(which are very high). It says(quote):

"students who are (or who are dependents of) persons who have applied for permanent resident status may qualify for exemption if they have met all the preliminary immigration requirements for permanent resident status (i.e. have received preliminary/provisional acceptance/approval, or approval-in-principle). "

Could someone pls clarify this statement for me ? And do i meet these requirements ,because my father applied for PR, or not ?

Pls HELP !!

Unless your father has received the medical request or a request for passport, you won't meet the above statement.
