A great resource is alis.alberta.ca. Its put up by the Government of Alberta, but its relevant for any Canadian. They have a variety of resume samples and you can also open the pdf's for 'Advanced Worksearch' and 'First Time Job Seekers' under publications. Alberta Work Search Online is also linked as are the tip sheets.

Good luck!

Writing resumes for the North American marketplace can be quite different from other parts of the world.  A number of personal items such as age, martial status etc are not needed and in an interview situation by law cannot be asked.

I'm Canadian Career Coach and provide content for a site called    careego.com         This site provides information on all aspects of job searching in Canada.  There is a basic/free membership and if you wanted to speak with an actual Canadian Career Coach you can do so by subscribing to the premium membership.

Hope this helps!
