estimated time for getting proof of citizenship

i submitted my sons' applications for proof of citizenship in Jun29.  and we got the receipt of acknowledgment on Sep07 (now, status = received).  i just wonder for some of you who submitted recently, how long in total did you wait before you got the final approval?

My kids took 2 weeks to get back, however someone else just posted that they got theirs back in the last week or so and it took 5 months.

I had asked, when I applied to have it expedited if possible as we were intending on returning to Canada by November (our hope) of 2010 and that we'd want their proof to land properly at the same time as me (the applicant) and their father (Canadian citizen sponsor). I was shocked when the letter of receipt arrived and then the very next day their cards were in the mail.

Congratulation for the quick response you got.  Just wonder ... do you mean 5 months from mailing out the application, or 5 months after getting the "receipt acknowledgement letter"?

We got the "receipt acknowledgement letter" on Sep-1, and i keep checking the website and it is still in the "Received" status.  just wonder how much longer to expect?

I think it was 5 months from when they mailed it out.
