Hello,

I am applying for study permit in George Brown College on "Wireless Networking" course, but I don't really have much time to take IELTS or TOEFL because of the time delays between each exam, so I decided to apply for the course with ESL course to avoid IELTS & TOEFL

Would ESL effect my student visa, because I don't have IELTS or TOEFL? or it's fine for the visa officer about the visa, to take ESL course in advance before the "Wireless Networking" course?

Note that I am applying for a course that is related to my previous studies and work experience

I am not discouraging you. you might get admission in college/university through esl but ielts matters for visa also.

ESL is a supporting path to your further studies only. If your LOA contain course name(s) of both than it want be any issue.

For which session you are applying for? For Sept, I donot think you have less time. What you try to do is get admission in ESL and your diploma program but appear in IELTS as well. If your score falls behind, college will reissue your offer letter and give your ESL for less number of classes (as per their IELTS score requirement). If you get IELTS score as required, you are saving yoruself from risk of being rejected.

* Being a a country where education is English medium, I won't say it will be a smart move to apply on ESL (without knowing what your IELTS score was). ESL is much more suitable for South or Far East Asian countries, where English is not taught at highest level!

Rest up to you.
