In the DMP Handbook it says: "Question 2: Seizures, loss of consciousness or epilepsy
When there is a history of seizures, loss of consciousness or epilepsy, the details from the applicant should include the type of disorder, the age of onset, any precipitating factors, current drugs taken, and the frequency of attacks, severity and sequelae. The date of the last seizure should be noted."
From the above, and the history you have given, it does not sound as if your situation would put "excessive demand" on the health care system and it is certainly not contagious, but as I am not a DMP, I cannot say what the decision would be in the end.
I did a little research on this some time back and posted it here.
