Hi
I will be driving to Vancouver from Seattle for the first time after getting my PR Visa.
I am not planning to stay there but get back to US and then stay in US for 6 months more.
On long term basis I want to settle in area around Toronto.
My questions are:
1] Since I will be just visiting Vancouver not for full time do I need to carry money which people carry with them for long term stay in Canada
2] Can I give my friends address in Toronto for my PR card to be posted there when I come back to US?
Regards...

I think I understand what you are saying... Landing as a PR in Canada, but are returning to the USA for 6 months?

1) Bring your bank statements that show how much money you have available (this is for landing purposes).

2) The Officer will want the address where YOU plan on residing. If it is not available, then he/she will give you a form to fax in when you have an address. If you plan on living in Toronto with your friend, then that is the address to give.

I do not endorse or recommend the services of CanadianVisa.com, nor to I dissuade you from using them. I am simply here to give advice from someone in my position, as this appears to be the only decent Immigration forum on the web.
