Hi everyone,

I have just recently submitted our outland application to CPC-M to sponsor my husband for PR. We are both living in The Netherlands right now and are planning to move to Canada at the end of February so that I can start work and my husband will wait for his PR approval. When we fly to Canada, I will be a returning citizen with goods to follow (our household possessions being shipped), but my husband will be entering as a visitor (he doesn't require a visitor visa). I'm just wondering if the customs officer will give us any problems allowing my husband to stay as a visitor? We have return tickets booked for 6 months later, but other than that my husband doesn't have any ties back in the Netherlands except his family as he gave up his job and our apartment. Could they refuse him entry? I hate worrying that I will be let through and he might not.

They could refuse him entry, but as long as you show proof of our PR application and you make it clear to the immigration officer that he'll leave the country if forced to you should be fine.
