Ok so i am British i am currently working on a J1 Visa in the states, and i have decided i want to move to canada to work and live and i just want to know what type of visa/permit i need to apply for and what steps i need to take.??? Thanks.

You can start by taking a free assessment to see if you qualify.  Here's a link.

Note also that if your J-1 visa allows you to stay in the U.S. for one year or more, you can apply to Buffalo.  If it doesn't, you'll need to apply from the UK.
