Hi Experts/Seniors.

I want to apply under NOC 7215. The company( Located in India, Mumbai) I work for is a small proprietorship firm and has no Website or fax, the company operates its business from the owners residence itself. So the residence address is mentioned on the Letterhead, however the firm is a registered one.

Kindly advise if the Work Experience certificate without company website / fax no. will be acceptable to the Immigration officials for Canada. What are the options available under such a scenario?

Please advise and help with your feedback on the same.

Thanks

Dear,
Talk to the owner and propose that you are prepared to sponsor for establishing a website for his company !! I am sure no wise person would say no for such a proposal Smiley
Then Go ahead, and shell out some money to a web designer, buy a domain, get content written and have it published...should work out within Rs.2000 to Rs.2500/-
Hope that after spending this little extra...you will have peace of mind !

Thanks JUNER 2011 for the timely advise,

I agree with you that creating a website can be a good option. However I have this concern that even after doing as suggested the residence address used on the letter head will have a negative impact?

Any idea How the CIC carries out Employment verification and checks? Do they recognize work experience of small proprietorship firms?

Await your suggestion on the above.

Thanks

Dear,
I dont think that residence address should cause any problem. Many small firms and businesses operate from residential areas and I think your firm/establishment too has the legal sanction to operate from a residential area given by the authorities concerned. Therefore, I dont see any problem apart from the above mentioned. As regards CIC conducting a verification, it usually would be outsourced (3rd party checks that) but as I said usually, it can vary from case to case and is still very unclear !!
They may call/email/visit personally/send a letter but usually they call !

Hope that helps..
