Just wondering if anyone has had any problems with their employers allowing them to work under implied status, while awaiting a new work visa?

My boyfriends company was adament that he not continue working past his visa date, we printed them everything from both the CIC and Service Canada website regarding implied status, and they just dont seem to get it!! It's so frustrating...

Anyone experience a similar problem and how did you convince your employer that you were still able to work?

Thx!
