mates

Finally I got the letter today, somehow it is close all our anticipation but one small difference is, they asked for further analyzes on my medical not my wife, below is the extract of letter

SPUTUM SMEARS AND CULTURES FOR MYCOBACTERIUM TUBERCULOSIS, TAKEN THREE CONSECUTIVE DAYS AND INCUBATED FOR 6 to 8 WEEKS , AND THEN REPEAT CHEST X RAY POSTEROANTERIOR VIEW, REPORT ON / AFTER 20 JAN 2010

Interestingly I never had TB before and from where I can generate SPUTUM that too for 3 consecutive days I don't know. One more issues is I am in Dubai but I did the Medical in India , now they are asking me to go to same Dr. On top of all , this report should be send only after 20-Jan so for next 2 months my case is under HOLD !! I am helpless now

bro,

i think u r mixed up with ur spouse. the tests actually must mean ur spouse's only.

for the DMP, u r in trouble, 'coz CHC will not accept another doc. u'll have to organize all this thru India ONLY. take a short leave and fly to India asap.

yes, u'll have the added delay, but that's ok when u know that ur case ultimately will pass thru.

all the best buddy...

Thanks

They clearly mention my name in that letter that is why I am surprised . Anyway I am sending email to CHC-London to take confirmation.
I can see most the cases where they asked for further medical was under hOLD for really long time !!

sam-cam,
am so sorry about your case, its so frustrating to be in such a situation.
now you  will have to spend extra money flying back and forth india from dubai, worst of all, the delay, which is really killing.
You are delaying the case more by sending them another e-mail as it may take up to 28days to get a reply, which in my own opinion will
be exactly what they have sent you in the letter. Am sure that for you, at the end of the tunnel there will be light, though it may take so long, you will be there in the long run. I hope you will take things easy though.  Like i told you in my previous post, something is showing up in your medicals that needs more clarification. It is for your own good as the doctor will find out anything unusal then he will refer you to some specialists which is to your own good. Once you pass your medical, nothing will stop you from going to canada. Good luck

SamCan,

I am from Pakistan, and our medicals goes to India (New Delhi) for further processing. ND send me a letter in September fro further Chest X-ray of mine. I send it within 10 days and it reached ND on 7th October, 2009. So far no news from there. Looks like all is well set. Although I have not received PPR but it is due to the reason that Pakistan CHC ran out of VISA quota for this year. Hopefully, in Jan 2010, they will resume giving Visas.

A friend of mine went through this sputum and even CT Scan, but they did not ask him to send the results after two months. He has cleared all the tests and even got the VISA stamped recently.

Do not worry at all, because this is a normal CHC practice that they ask for repeat X-rays and sputum tests even if there is a small scar i X-rays. The only thing that is not understandable is that why they ask to submit results on or after 20 Jan, 2010.

Dear Friends

Thanks for all your supports,

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/dmp-handbook/appendix-02.asp

Just now I checked above link , it says In case of TB findings in first X ray then we will asked to go for one more X ray but it will be in 3 months from first one. Mine is on Oct 20th so they said next Xray should be by Jan-20 or after that . In case if the case is not clear even after 2 nd xray and Sputum test then one more Xray with CT scan in another 3 months . Anyway waiting for another 2 months become Mandatory now.

Meanwhile I sent email to Lonond to confirm this test is for me not for my wife . Normally I get reply in maximum of 3 working days in emergency matters so I will get clear picture in another 1 week
