Hi,

I am offered a position as Software Engineer and I would like to know if I am eligible for "concurrent processing" described here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/processing.asp

The national occupation classification (NOC) matrix (http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/Matrix.aspx) does not mention Software Engineer in specific but I guess it belongs to category 217, Computer and Information System Professionals, or 228, Technical Occupations in Computer or Information Systems, right?

If this is true I could apply for my work permit before obtaining a positive labour market opinion (HRSDC confirmation), correct?
Does this work for a job in Quebec, too? That is, can I apply for my work permit in Quebec before having obtained my Quebec Acceptation Certificate (CAQ)?

Thanks in advance for your help.

D.
